Alert Construction Co., originally founded in 1955 and has been under it's current ownership since 1991.  In 200 the name of the company was changed to Carlo Steel Corporation (CSC) to reflect the name of the current owner

Key personnel in the organization are Nelson Carlo, President, Victor Jasas, General Manager, Alex Romero, Chief Estimator, Maritza Marrero Carlo, Director of Finance Administrator, Rigo Alvarez, Shop Foreman, and Jim Clark, QC Manager.  These individuals have over 100 years of business experience.  This experience coupled with an extremely competent and professional staff help to insure that our customers receive a timely quality product.

Over the years, the facility has grown to 150,000 square feet on 10 acres of land within the City of Chicago.  Carlo Steel Corporation presetly employs 55 people and is affiliated with the Ironworkers Union Local 473.

The company's core business is Structural Steel Fabrication and Erection.  As an AISC certified steel fabricator, CSC maintains the highest quality assurance standards in the industry.  The company's monthly production of steel averages 1500 tons.

Construction Management

CSC can provide oversight for all Division 5 metals.  Thus, customers can choose one company to coordinate all project activities from start to successful completion.

Full Service Steel Warehouse

CSC has a full service warehouse from which structural shapes and sizes can be provided.  Shipments to customers can be arranged as required.
